Why We Built Smell Hound
We set out to solve a problem that every household and business faces — persistent odour — and we weren't willing to do it with synthetic fragrances or harsh chemicals. What we built instead is a biotechnology-powered odour eliminator that disperses a fine mist of beneficial probiotics and prebiotics into the air. Those good bacteria break down and consume what's causing the smell at a biological level. The result isn't a 'fresh scent.' It's clean, fresh air.
Our device covers up to 100 square metres and runs autonomously on a preset schedule — dispensing every 3 hours in Auto Mode with no input needed. The formula is EU Ecolabel certified, FDA GRAS listed, fully biodegradable, and safe for pets and children. It's the same synbiotic technology that's been used in European hospitals for over 15 years, now commercialised for everyday homes and businesses here in New Zealand.

We're raising between $100,000 and $150,000 to fund inventory, growth marketing across New Zealand and Australia, and Australian logistics infrastructure.
